The Theatre Studio

This 24 x 32 foot barn is used to host theatre workshops.  The barn timber frame was designed by Brad, and cut in collaboration with a Heartwood School (link) workshop.  It was hand-raised with
over 100 people present.  From the street the barn fits right in with the 19th century farmhouse
next door—with sliding barn doors (being completed now), and small high windows.  On entering through a set of gorgeous French doors a magnificent view of the forest opens up, with large airy windows facing south.  The barn is fully insulated, with bedrooms upstairs, a full kitchen, and bath.  We added a twisted cupola to the top of the barn that is accessible via a ladder, and offers the best view around.
